Separation of Faith and Life

George W. Bush has been criticized for letting his faith interfere with his judgment as president. Everyone lives out their faith in daily life, not just George W. Bush. It’s just a matter of what their faith is. Those who believe one should not allow their faith to affect their daily lives simply live out their faith that there is no God that affects daily life.. and that affects their daily life.

  1. Stephen P. Smith says:

Faith is related to judgment. We need faith in our self certitude to make a balanced judgment. Therefore, science also requires faith. We trust, but verify. You can’t get reason without faith being present. For example, to come on the “moral law,” as Kant did with the categorical imperative, we need more that just a science that is disconnected from faith. We also need faith to make good choices.
